Bug ID: 50181 Summary: no internet acccess Product: Wine Version: 5.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: intosamadhi@gmail.com Distribution: ---
I have no internet access for any applications. Running wine version wine-5.0 (Ubuntu 5.0-3ubuntu1). Running ping through cmd only times out. Iexplore just hangs. I don't see anything in the log when running iexplore.
I've tried setcap but to no avail. wine-preloader is not found on my system.
This may be an ubuntu issue or simply some weird config on my system, but any help troubleshooting this would be appreciated.
output from ifconfig is:

--- Comment #1 from intosamadhi@gmail.com --- I didn't have wine-preloader installed. After installing both 32 and 64 bit versions and using setcap on both of them I can now ping successfully through cmd.
But iexplore still has no internet access nor does FL Studio (which is the main reason i am trying to fix this)
I have 64 and 32 prefixes. iexplore doesn't work in either of them and I don't see anything in the log.
This problem seems to be localized to certain applications only, because now I can access internet through the "amazon kindle app" and "native instruments access"
