[Bug 2398] OpenGL is only used on top level windows so child windows get overdrawn

the exact opposite is happening with this app

I'm having exactly the opposite problem as everyone else. The 3d is the part
that doesn't show up. In fact it happens with all apps that use glscene. Demos
can be downloaded here that exhibit the same behavior
