Summary: Autograph 3.2: Icons not displayed on toolbars Product: Wine Version: 1.1.8 Platform: PC OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: angeldodger@tiscali.co.uk
Created an attachment (id=17165) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17165) command line output when app is run
Any help with solving this problem would be much appreciated.
On first install Autograph would crash on startup. This was fixed by using the native version of msxml3.
The program now appears to be fine apart from the above issue, with icons not being displayed on any toolbars. I've attached the command line output below. Any help greatly appreciated.

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-11-10 18:15:16 --- Does native comctl32 help?
Also, have you filed a bug for the msxml3 problem (check for dupes first).

--- Comment #2 from Andy angeldodger@tiscali.co.uk 2008-11-15 05:39:51 --- Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried using both the native version of comclt32 and a copy of comctl32 from an XP install (the machine is dual boot), but neither have any effect.
I haven't filed a bug for the msxml3 problem yet (to be honest I didn't think of it!) but will try to do that this weekend. I don't get what you mean by, "Check for dupes first" though... duplicates?
So - still nowhere on the missing icons front...

--- Comment #3 from Andy angeldodger@tiscali.co.uk 2009-02-03 13:08:44 --- Following a suggestion from one of the engineers at Autograph I tried changing the Windows Version to Windows 2000, and hey presto all icons now appear. Now, if only I could remember why he said that may work!
Any ideas? ...or is this classed as fixed now?

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-02-03 16:26:44 --- It's still a bug in wine.
Presumably the app is detecting the windows version and adjusting its behavior accordingly. If you could find out what it changes, that would help.

--- Comment #5 from Andy angeldodger@tiscali.co.uk 2009-02-04 15:35:13 --- I'll try to find out, but in the mean time I seem to recall something about the way 2000 and XP handle transparent icons. Does that make sense? I'll do some googling and see what I can find...
