I pressed the test sound button on the sound tab of winecfg. A a sound played,
but the button got "stuck down" and the whole window froze.

I am experiencing this same problem with rc1 as well.  I'm downgrading for the
time being.  I'm using the *.16 version of ALSA with a C-Media 8788 chipset, if
that matters.
