Heroes of Might and Magic, released on Ultimate Strategy Archives. Heroes.exe, the splash app, boots and plays music. If any of the buttons are clicked. Error message upon running:

Based on AppDB, no one is able to run HOMAM with enabled sound in winecfg. So the initial music can't be from "wine heroes.exe". If we are talking about installation failure due to music playing when "wine setup.exe" is run this is strange. Because music is stopped immediately itself when clicking on install. Then installation runs normally.
Works for me so i vote for closing. Feel free to reopen and clarify this bug report.

I don't think music was the issue.
