I installed wine as described by 'http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/ ' followed by MS Office 2007 without any problem. When I try to open Word (Excel or Powerpoint) the program Word (Excel, Powerpoint) crashes. The file-open dialogue opens up, followed by "Microsoft Office has encountered a problem and needs to close ...". This is repeatable, also after re-boot. The same version of Office is running ok with Crossover at another MAC. Searching bug-reports etc did not yield any success. Any help is welcome ....

--- Comment #1 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net 2010-05-19 09:38:27 --- Severity is not critical; please read the definitions.
What version of Office 2007 (Pro, Standard, etc.), and how did you install it? Is this a clean wineprefix--no overrides, nothing else installed?

--- Comment #2 from Michael tiemichael@gmail.com 2010-05-19 09:50:36 --- (In reply to comment #1) I am using Office 2007 Enterprise with SP2 pre-installed. In addition I installed/tried to install IE7 (not working), Firefox (working), Lotus Notes 5,6 (working) and AcrobatReader 9.3 (working). in Winecfg I overwrote riched20 with (native, builtin) which allowed to open the Powerpoint program, but does not influence the fact that I am unable to open files in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Thank you!

--- Comment #3 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net 2010-05-19 10:22:58 --- Re-install to a clean wineprefix, without any of that other stuff installed. It's fine to set the override for riched20.

--- Comment #4 from Michael tiemichael@gmail.com 2010-05-19 20:44:29 --- (In reply to comment #3) Thank you! I installed everything (w/o IE7) again into a new wineprefix, and all is fine!
