Rct falls back to menu after trying to choose a park. Wine does not display any error messages so used strace to find out what wine is actually doing. Added the log as an attachement.

It (silently) receives a file not found when loading the starter template file, then returns to the main menu.
Upon further inspection I found the filename in the log and the filename in the directory to be the same except for the capitalization. Specifically, the game searched for it in all caps, when the filename was created with the first letter capitalized and the remaining not.

The behavior is the same as described above: the game starts up to the menu, but then choosing a scenario, there is a short screen flicker and it drops back to the menu.
I also found some files capitalized in the form Css*.dat in the Data directory, however, renaming these to CSS*.DAT did not help.

I experienced the same problems as described on a real Windows 7 system.
I now got the US version of RollerCoaster Tycoon with both Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes and this one works just fine with wine. It seems like the latest patches which are required to get this working are not available for the European language version.
