Could be a duplicate. It appears to me that that bug is for a specific app.
I've tried several programs with tray icons and none of them show the
transparent pixels.

Is the fix being done for that bug intended for all tray icons, or is it just
for that program? If the former, then yes this is a dupe. If the later, then
this could be more general.

Definitely dupe of buf #3534.
ALL wine systray icons without exception are non-transparent.

The patch, attached at bug #3534, used to fix that problem, but nowadays it
does not help... sad...

Agreed. It's a dupe. Too bad no immediate fix. I hope a miracle comes up and
someone finds a fix by Wine 1.0.
