Bug #: 32987 Summary: Impossible to install on upgraded ubuntu 12.04.2 Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: JVApen@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
I used to have wine (1.5) installed on my Ubuntu 12.04.1, however after upgrade to 12.04.2 I wanted the new kernel, so I followed the instructions of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuDesktop#LTS_Hardw... (sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-quantal xserver-xorg-lts-quantal) This one uninstalled wine, and on reinstall apt-get install wine1.5-amd64 it wants to remove all -lts-quantal packages instead of using them in place of the previous packages
