Ubuntu 8.10, Wine 1.0.1
Please check:
$wine regedit this opens regedit, I *cannot* rename any key (nothing happens when pressing F2), and there are visual background-errors on icons(please see screenshot)
@sudo regedit opens the regedit, I am able to rename any key, and there the window looks as it's supposed to.
-Similiar problems appear within other windows-applications as well.

-maybe wine should simply deny to run as SUDO ? -this is not a bug, but mey be converted into a suggestion.

You've probably ran as root/sudo before, botched your permissions, then retried as non-root, which fails.
