Summary: Enemy characters are rendered very darkly until killed Product: Wine Version: 1.3.18 Platform: x86 URL: http://static.cdn.ea.com/darkspore/u/f/base/temp/Darks poreBetaFull.zip OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: gdi32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: fjuni5@msn.com
All enemies are rendered very darkly, almost black until they are killed. Other than making the enemies slightly harder to see, it does not effect gameplay.
Core i7, 6 GB GeForce GTX 580 Nvidia 270.30

--- Comment #2 from Appiah muppski@gmail.com 2011-05-03 23:27:59 CDT --- I get the same problem
On 1.3.18 and git version Nvidia [GeForce GTX 275] 260.19.36
Terminal output:
fixme:d3d_surface:surface_load_location Downloading sRGB surface 0x779c7848 to reload it as RGB. fixme:d3d_surface:surface_load_location Downloading sRGB surface 0x9216df8 to reload it as RGB. -------------------------------------------------------------
I see alot of these errors in terminal when playing a map with all black textured enemies.

--- Comment #3 from fjuni5@msn.com 2011-05-06 18:56:50 CDT --- NOTE: If the user visits the character creation screen before entering gameplay, the enemy characters are lit properly. Possibly some shaders are compiled and cached when rendering that screen?

--- Comment #4 from Matteo Bruni matteo.mystral@gmail.com 2011-06-27 10:05:42 CDT --- This should be fixed by commit 002674e49d3343d2ad4670081276e38af867eefe, which is in Wine 1.3.22 and later (then further refined by commit 32787ec0dd45a0ec794368ce8e513f421152f9b7).
