Bug ID: 49237 Summary: Final Fantasy XI increased speed Product: Wine-staging Version: 5.9 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: kain.centeno@catsangel.com CC: leslie_alistair@hotmail.com, z.figura12@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Final Fantasy XI on 5.8 work great (although there was some graphical issues, and some issues capturing the keyboard if moving outside the game window), but when upgrade to version 5.9 the animation of everything is increased making the game unplayeable and most likely might have issues getting banned. Character speed is faster, and all character animations are at least x4 the normal speed.
Camera is also x4 the speed.

--- Comment #1 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- Is this problem present in upstream (non-Staging) Wine? (See also https://wiki.winehq.org/Wine-Staging#Reporting_and_debugging_bugs_against_Staging.)
That said, because of the nature of the problem, cd215bb49 and associated commits make me nervous...

--- Comment #2 from Kreidos lordkappa@gmail.com --- I can confirm this is an issue in wine-devel 5.9 as well. Issue doesn't appear present in version 5.8 or earlier.

--- Comment #4 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- Thanks. If you can perform a regression test, that would be helpful. See https://wiki.winehq.org/Regression_Testing.
Checking the aforementioned commit individually might make the test faster, if I'm right...

I can test only with wine-staging as it has a patch that makes it work for me.
Can you tell me the commit on the github staging that needs to be removed so I can test it?
Thank you =)

--- Comment #6 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- It may be instead more worthwhile testing with current git, i.e. specifically after 1ae10889647.
