I was trying to install the Visual Basic 6.0 Runtimes, which you can get from
free from Microsoft (here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7B9BA261-7A9C-43E7-...
), but Wine will complain with 2 FixMe and 2 Errors (see attached log)

Wine installed from Wine's .deb on Kubuntu 7.10

So you saying those dlls/ocx/etc did not install? Whatever messages Wine prints
you ignore, unless you have a real problem.

Closing invalid - debug messages are not a manifestation of a problem.

It fails on the start of the installer.

Before the installer do anything, Wine prints those messages and the installer
end. That's the real problem.

Duplicate of bug 4098. It does work, just doesn't show anything that makes you
think it is. You should see the dll files installed in system32.
