Do DD_STRUCT_COPY_BYSIZE even if the Rect passed to Lock is invalid

It's not the different return code but the fact that
DD_STRUCT_COPY_BYSIZE(DDSD,&(This->surface_desc)); was not called if the rect
was invalid that broke Baldurs Gate.
