Hello everyone,
After starting "Origin" I keep getting a message that it is aparently not possible to sign in online.
I also tried signing in in offline mode (which works) and tried "Go online" in the main menu. This also fails.
Anyway, console output for latest wine staging is attached.

--- Comment #1 from gukin arichter@lobo.net --- This issue has been going on for at least a couple of months. Here's how to replicate:
Set up a new wineprefix.
Install Origin from SetupOrigin.exe
Log in, the OriginSetup.exe was an older version but still worked and allowed me to log in. From there I started downloading a game. If the game is small enough it may complete before Origin determines there is a security issue with the installer and one can use Origin to play the game off-line, presuming one starts the game before shutting down Origin. If the game is large, such as Mass Effect Andromeda, Origin will shutdown the download.
Once Origin is started up again it will want to update or allow one to log in offline. If one chooses to update the client it will go ahead and update but once it restarts there is a banner at the top that reads:
(!) Online login is currently unavailable.
There have been references to an updater within Lutris that may fix this problem. There have been instances where the problem surfaces with Windows users.
Wine Version 4.15 Staging on Mageia 7. DXVK was not used in the above example but when enabled the same issue happens.

--- Comment #2 from Georg georg.schuemann@web.de --- The bug is fixed with the latest version of Origin, V: 10.5.47.29954 - 0 for me.

--- Comment #3 from gukin arichter@lobo.net --- It is true that it is possible now to log onto Origin, sadly every single game I tried to launch failed with the :
The program <game name here> has encountered a serious problem and needs to close.
I tried the following games with the same result:
Mass Effect [1, 2, 3]
Crysis 3
Deadspace [2,3]
This isn't much of an improvement.

--- Comment #4 from Georg georg.schuemann@web.de --- @gukin Have u disabled Origin in Game overlay?
If it s enabled games also crash for me, however disabled my games work fine.
Also crashing Origin games is a different and needs a different Bug report to keep things organized imho.

--- Comment #5 from gukin arichter@lobo.net --- Overlay turned off, and now everything launches. I'm such a ninny. Thank you Georg.
I believe this bug can be closed, at least until Origin breaks something again.

--- Comment #6 from Alexandr Oleynikov sashok.olen@gmail.com --- The reason this bug appeared is because an Origin update broke something in their network code, which affected Windows as well. As a temporary workaround, they released another update which basically shipped a patched MS HTML library. Recently, they fixed this issue and it Login now works just fine in Wine. So this should probably be closed now.

Hello,
I can confirm that signing into the Origin client currently works.
Issue caused by the application is invalid.
Regards.
