Hello,
I'm using "Gestan", a very good french program, but I've got an error using it. Something to do with "ole32.dll" I know that the program have been developped with WinDev, and need Framework WinDev to work. It is impossible to install; nothing append.
Hope you will be able to help me with this.
Thank you in advance,
Kind regards,
Julian

Please test with Wine 1.1.40. Attach terminal output as a text file.

--- Comment #7 from Julian Siegwald jsiegwald@gmail.com 2010-03-09 02:24:45 --- Hi,
I think I did what I had to do... Let me describe what I did, and please tell me if I did something wrong:
- Uninstall previous version on Wine via Synaptics, and manually delete /home/'Users'/.Wine - Reboot
I precise that wine's sources and your patch are in the same folder.
Then, in a terminal ("cd in the folder") -Patch -p1 < new_text.txt -./configure -make -sudo make install - reboot
Is there something wrong ?

No, you did correctly, Apparently this is another bug then bug #14681. I downloaded the app from http://download.cnet.com/GESTAN-France/3000-2076_4-10754982.html?tag=rtcol;t...
and I got the same crash. So i'll confirm the bug. If you want you can try the attached hack to get the installer running and installing, but it's not a fix for this bug. Someone who knows more about gdi32 should probably have a look at this big

--- Comment #14 from Julian Siegwald jsiegwald@gmail.com 2010-05-13 02:19:32 --- Hi Louis and everybody else;
That's right, Gestan does install itself with the new version of wine but it's not running. I've got the following error when I dbl-click on my (installed) program:
"Internal error on WDHF DLL <WD120HF.DLL>".
It is not a database problem as I'm virtualising "Gestan" using VMware and the same database.
Any idea ?
Thanks

Hi, you can open a new bug report for that. This bug (the installer) has been fixed. BTW, after installing the app, the application itsself comes up just fine on my computer. Did you try that ? (instead of the virtualized version)
