Summary: Everest Poker fails to load Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc4 Platform: PC URL: http://www.EverestPoker.org.uk OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P4 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: kennybobs@o2.co.uk
Created an attachment (id=13875) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=13875) Bash printout.
Following advice for using a native gdiplus.dll in bug 12906, Everest Poker gets to the startup screen, then fails to progress.
Without the native gdiplus.dll, Everest Poker does not progress this far.

--- Comment #1 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2008-06-19 13:30:12 --- Since the release of Wine 1.0.0, the application now hangs at the second launch window. cstart-tmp.exe has to be killed.

There are less lines than with Wine 1.0.0, but I can't see a problem from this text.
The program still hangs at the same point and needs to be killed.
Clearly I need to look into this further, when I can.

--- Comment #5 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2008-12-15 01:14:14 --- Created an attachment (id=17946) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17946) Console log 1.1.10
Tested again in Ubuntu Intrepid under 1.1.10. The second screen does not load at all now and the program exits without any message.

--- Comment #6 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2008-12-16 02:50:19 --- Now similar to Bug 13896. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13896
"Using winetricks to install gecko and gdiplus allows the program to get to the "Starting up" window. At this point it receives a "Cannot connect to server" message. (The server is fine).
Could this have anything to do with SSL? It's at this point that the program would attempt to open an SSL/TLS socket.
Wireshark shows an "encrypted alert". Seems that the server doesn't trust the client. I have tried native versions of the crypt*.dll files but I'm hunting in the dark here."

--- Comment #7 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-02-06 15:01:30 --- Marking as duplicate of bug 13896. They both look like the same problem anyway (just tested in wine-1.1.14-248-gcb57ebc to confirm).
13896 contains more details than this one.
