Summary: wine-pthread: relocation error Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc2 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: leohome@free.fr
Since I have installed Hardy Heron 32 bits, the precompiled versions of wine don't run .exe or winecfg. Here is the message returned :
/usr/bin/../lib/../bin/wine-pthread: relocation error: /usr/bin/../lib/../bin/wine-pthread: symbol wine_get_build_id, version WINE_1.0 not defined in file libwine.so.1 with link time reference
I have uninstalled and installed wine several times, but the bug is always here.
This happens with wine 1.0 RC1 and RC2.
If I download and compile wine from the sources, all is OK.

--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-05-24 00:10:11 --- Looks like a broken compile or invalid system configuration. Not a blocker but rather invalid if it works if you compile it yourself. Please open bug with ubuntu instead.
