hmm, i get a nice crash into cabinet.dll. You mean you don't see a crash in the console?

--- Comment #2 from scguy318 nodisgod@yahoo.com 2008-04-18 12:59:33 --- I didn't see one. I only saw a large dump of blank lines, and the dialog box, though behavior of the app seems to change between runs, particularly if wineserver isn't killed before re-running the app.

--- Comment #3 from Chad Sikorra chad.sikorra@gmail.com 2008-06-07 11:54:54 --- I don't think your link is pointing to the same version of this application that you reported the bug on anymore. I downloaded the application and now it fails every time directly after extracting the files. With the current version of the application there is a regression with the installer between 0.9.59 and 0.9.60; I'm currently running a regression test for it.

I think I'm actually wrong on thinking it was a different version. You reported the issue in April and the release on their site shows February as the month they released this version. I got a little confused because Creative changed their download sites. Sorry to confuse anyone.
I opened a bug report for the regression between wine 0.59 and 0.60; see bug 13765. Which version did you originally test this application with though? For me, beyond 0.9.59 the installer fails to start and gives me an Install Shield Wizard error box. in 0.9.59 the installer starts but crashes really early on with error 5011. I had a feeling that the issue for this bug occurs after the issue with the regression.

The bug mentioned above was closed already, marked as a duplicate of bug 13143. So right now that bug seems to be blocking this issue.

--- Comment #6 from Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org 2008-06-12 14:20:17 --- The error -5002 is apparently caused by VariantCopy failing, because it's passed an uninitialized local variable as a variant. It may be that it works on Windows because the stack happens to be zero at that point, or there is some other bug that causes it to be uninitialized.
