Summary: wineboot crash after the installation of Brothers in Arms - Earned in Blood. Product: Wine Version: 0.9.60 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: gilboad@gmail.com
Trying to install Brothers in Arms - Earned in Blood under Windows 0.9.60 Fedora 8/64 RPMs. (With raven-shield DINPUT patch) Installation works just fine. When I try to launch the game it claims that a reboot is required. When I try to call wineboot, I get a crash.
I'm currently trying to simulate the crash using the demo. (Doubt it - I have a feeling that this crash has something to do with the copy protection...)

I'm not sure it's related, but the demo crashes as well (though it seems like an unrelated bug)
Demo downloaded from: http://www.gamershell.com/download_10835.shtml
Crash log attached.

--- Comment #3 from Gilboa Davara gilboad@gmail.com 2008-04-27 02:30:04 --- P.S. The demo and the retail versions were installed into two different newly-created wine-prefixes.

--- Comment #4 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-04-28 12:40:41 --- Looks like starforce copyright protection.
Does the demo have the problem if you start with a fresh ~/.wine directory?

--- Comment #5 from Gilboa Davara gilboad@gmail.com 2008-04-28 14:27:21 --- Even when I installed the demo on a fresh .wine prefix, it die (a different horrible death). Guess I -should- open a second guess report about the demo. (Will do so tomorrow)
