Installing the MDAC 2.7 fails to install any of the odbc files.

When the installer finishes, it states it was successful.

I would expect to see at least
c:/windows/system32/odbcad32.exe

This hardly qualifies as critical, please read the severity descriptions more
carefully.

It takes all of five seconds to run the installer with +msi to see that it
doesn't even use msi.  Take a little bit more time to see that this installer
uses advpack.  Five more seconds to run with +advpack and you see:

noop.inf?  What's in there?

hmm, so it's not supposed to be installing anything.  Why could that be?  We
recently changed the default win version, so let's try changing it back to
win2000.  tada, invalid bug.  This literally took two minutes.
