--- Comment #4 from bojan@antonovic.ch bojan@antonovic.ch 2011-02-11 14:09:37 CST --- No, it doesn't.
It wouldn't be a solution, but an interesting workaround if it helped.

--- Comment #5 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2011-12-26 04:37:53 CST --- What's missing in the bug description is that the game complains about missing msdxm.ocx after starting. Msdxm.ocx is a Windows Media Player 2 ActiveX control module and is not installed by the game. After placing that file in the game directory (or in /system32) the game started, first it complained about the lack of Opengl, then it began to load the game. Loading, however, took more than 10 minutes until the game finally reached the main menu.

--- Comment #6 from bojan@antonovic.ch bojan@antonovic.ch --- Hi Bela
I can confirm the situation (Wine 1.7.13 btw.): downloading msdxm.ocx from the Internet solves the problem.
Is this now
1) an invalid bug, as the software is possible wrongly packaged? 2) does Wine have to support/link/whatever WMP version 2 ?
I'm not an expert for this matter.

--- Comment #7 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
refining summary.
The ActiveX control is also part of Windows Media Player 6.4 runtime.
MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd562731%28v=vs.85%2...
Download: http://www.oldapps.com/windows_media_player.php?old_windows_media_player=3
Maybe a winetricks recipe, downloading that file ('mpfull.exe'), unpacking the .ocx to system32 and registering it could be made.
