Hi, I'm just posting a bug which is marked as upstream in HeidiSQL, but doesn't
seem to have made it to WineHQ yet.  I see the same issue, and so can provide
further information if needed.

I'm also using Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit.

What is the problem that needs to be solved (required)?
Crashs on start with wine 1.3 on Ubuntu 11.10 64bit (+ Gnome3)
There were no probs running HeidiSQL on Ubuntu 11.04 with wine 1.3

HeidiSQL_6.0_Portable$ wine heidisql.exe
fixme:thread:GetThreadUILanguage : stub, returning default language.

I can find several hints on the net regarding this missing GetThreadUILanguage.
To me these look like this is something to fix in Wine, not in HeidiSQL.

I'll mark this as Upstream.

Please retest with wine-1.3.37 and attach full terminal output.

I can confirm that "HeidiSQL 6.0.0.3977 32 bit Version 6.0.0.4030 Compiled on:
2112-01-18 21:09:08" works perfectly with "Wine wine-1.3.37" (from their Ubuntu
PPA) on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit.

I assume that this bug has been fixed in one project or the other.

I have tested older HeidiSQL versions and they do not crash in
wine-1.3.37-139-gd676762.

http://www.heidisql.com/installers/HeidiSQL_6.0.0.3978_Setup.exe (1 month old)
http://www.heidisql.com/builds/heidisql.r3931.exe (5 months old)

So I think wine was fixed somehow as the older versions of heidisql don't
crash.
