I get an error message when I use "Browse C: Drive" or "Configure" using Wine. I had an error also when using version 1.6. I am getting errors when I run applications so I figured I should find the issue with this first.

Some applications run fine but with an initial error message such as the one attached. I had this also for version 1.6. I unistalled 1.6 and installed 1.72in the hopes of fixing the issue. My version 1.6 was bundeled with Linux Mint (Mate) 17.

This is not from a clean wineprefix. Delete ~/.wine and run winecfg to recreate a clean one. Don't reinstall whatever installed that driver.
