Summary: Panzer Corps: Buttons unusable Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: slackers.mailbox@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=36449) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=36449) Panzer Corps: unusable buttons
Clicking on buttons like "next", "supply", etc. has the following results: The buttons are highlighted when you click at them, but there is no appropriate response from the game - for instance, clicking on supply doesn't supply the unit. Instead, there are no mouse clicks recognized anymore.
By opening up the purchase menu (hotkey "b") and clicking on "cancel" the mouse is working fine again. So you are limited to play the game using hotkeys exclusively.

--- Comment #1 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2011-12-04 12:34:55 CST --- I can kinda confirm the problem here on Fedora 16 and with Wine-1.3.34. For me, keyboard is not working at all in the main game (neither <Esc> nor any other keyboard shortcuts). Most of the buttons in the user interface don't get highlighted and are unclickable. The only button which is clickable is the <End Turn> button, but clicking on it has no effect. Also, when hovering the mouse pointer over a button, no tooltips are showing up.
The problem persists with Wine-1.1.6, 1.2.3 etc.
Download link to the demo has been added to URL.

--- Comment #2 from David Smid dsmid@clever.cz 2012-01-31 05:19:49 CST --- I believe this is a problem with window focus. At this moment (when the buttons are greyed and no minimap is displayed) the game waits for confirming the victory conditions screen. The problem is, that the screen is hidden behind the main window. When you click on "Today weather" button, "Close" and then "Tomorrow weather" button, the "Victory conditions" screen appears (most of the time) and after clicking it, the buttons are active, minimap appears, the main map is scrollable and the game can be played without any problems. Sometimes hitting ESC helps as well.

--- Comment #4 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- I tried the demo. I am not familiar with the game how it should work (crashes early game).
But I can confirm
"The only button which is clickable is the <End Turn> button, but clicking on it has no effect."
Isn't true anymore.
I can end turn
wine 1.7.15
You can make under 10 moves and it crashes.

--- Comment #5 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- I can still see the original issue as stated in comment 0, tested in wine 1.7.16.
