Summary: Autocad 2004 trial: Cannot deselect components to skip for install Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: PC URL: http://www.brothersoft.com/autocad-78351.html OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, Installer Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msi AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk
Ho, this affects at least autocad2004/2005 and 2006. After doing winetricks dotnet20, the installer goes fine into the configuration window. I then want to do custom install, and deselect "VBA". That seems to go fine, but in the end of the installation process, it still tries to install VBA, and makes the installer crash.

--- Comment #1 from James Hawkins truiken@gmail.com 2008-06-08 16:12:20 --- What do you mean, "tries to install VBA, and makes the installer crash"? This bug report is lacking pertinent information. No backtrace attached? Console log? +msi log?

This bug is related to http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13599, solvable by a patch from Louis Lenders on OpenGL code. I'm not sure that deselecting VBA support disables VBA completely in Autocad... Should be tested on windows. I think that even disabling it some VBA still gets installed; being so, that one wouldn't be a real bug.
BTW, I don't see it as a blocking bug, as once solved 13599 one this one would be harmless.

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-03 16:02:52 --- It still installs VBA, even if unselected, but doesn't crash in git. James, do you think this could be related to bug 6719?

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-01-20 02:39:10 --- Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag. Please retest in current git. If the bug is still present in today's wine, but was not present in some earlier version of wine, please update version field to earliest known version of wine that had the bug. Thanks!
