Console/Terminal output after exit is selected/close button is clicked

When exiting Winamp via the WinAMP's Menu -> Exit or via the close box, Winamp
hangs in sleeping state and never exits requiring a kill.

Out put of errors after exit is started attached.

Another note, this wasn't happening on 1.1.43, with Fedora 12, this is 1.2 rc1
on Fedora 13.

Exactly the same problem, but other terminal output.

Plain installation of .wine with "winetricks comctl32" and Winamp 5.581.
-archex Arch Linux (64bit), Wine 1.3.2 (32bit).

The output of winamp when exiting.

This output is different than the other attachments, but by a short time it
stops to bring output but the process is still hanging on the pipe_wait
channel.

This bug happens as well with Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit and Wine 1.2.2 32 bit; this
wine version is found on the official Ubuntu repositories, using Winamp 5.54.

The bug could be reproducible as this:

1.- You must have Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit, wine 1.2.2 as this version came from the
"universe" repositories.

2.- Install Winamp 5.54

3.- Installing with winetricks; comctl32, wininet, ie6: sh winetricks comctl32
wininet ie6

4.- After installation ends, Run winamp and exit from the winamp's menu or with
the close button in the main window.

5.- The winamp windows dissappears from the screen, but the process remains in
pipe_wait channel with an average CPU consumption (the process consumption by
itself) of 40%-50% in a Single core processor (Intel Celeron D).

Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach

wine 1.7.23 on openSUSE "Factory" (Rolling Release) here. Closing "winamp"
5.6.6.6 works fine for me.

I tried this quite recently I think.

@Maik Wagner

the exit does work, but if you look into the processes that are currently open
you should see winamp as process which shouldnt happen.

Please retest if you have winamp there still installed and look if its still as
process (zombie state).

I tested another winamp related bug.

I don't have pure wine now, because I used "winetricks cc580". I don't know
what that actually does. But it helped the another bug.

I exit winamp. And I cant see it as zombie process.

So it seems that this might be actually fixed.

I'm observing the same behavior with Winamp v5.623.
Wine version is 8.6, wintricks version is 20230212.
Sytem is openSUSE Tumbleweed (x86_64) with kernel 6.2.12.

I noticed 2 additional things:
1) application doesn't appear on the KDE task bar while running
2) application window also disappears as soon as I click somewhere outside it's
window

So I suggest to reopen this bug.
