Summary: Mathcad 2K Pro 3D graphs not rendered correctly Product: Wine Version: 1.1.9 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: kc8ldo@arrl.net
I can't get the 3D graphs in Mathcad 2000 Pro to render correctly. Seems like the graphics are scrambled. I've never had any version of Wine that I have tested render the graphs right.
I've attached a zip file with two bit map files of a 3D graph. One as rendered on a Windows XP Pro system and the other on a Wine 1.1.9 build on a Fedora 8 system.

I've attached the sample files. The good 3D chart sample is on Win XP Pro. The bad sample is done on a Fedora 8 system under Wine 1.1.20.
I would have tried using the same version of Wine on my Fedora 10 system however MathCAD won't even start right! I get a message that it can't create a new document. I also noticed that the "gl.ocx" control will not register on the Fedora 10 system either. It does on the older Fedora 8 system. I'm assuming the "gl.ocx" file handels all of the graphics for MathCAD.

This is the OCX control that won't register on the Fedora 10 system either. I have no problem doing it on the older Fedora 8 system I tried.

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-10-29 15:26:01 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.32 or newer) wine?

I forgot to say the 3d graphs still don't work but the "ocx" file seems to register doing "wine Regsvr32.exe gl.ocx". I tried it just now again by hand to confirm it on my F10 box.

--- Comment #7 from Leland C. Scott kc8ldo@arrl.net 2010-07-12 08:40:07 --- I've tried wine-1.2-rc7 and the 3d plots are still not renered right. In fact wine reports that MathCAD crashes and tries to close the application. The OCX controls seem to register right and the 2d graphs plot fine.

--- Comment #8 from butraxz@gmail.com 2012-05-20 10:49:15 CDT --- This bug has not been updated for two years. Is this still an issue in current (1.5.4 or newer) wine? Or should this be changed to abandoned ?
