This is the log file it suggested me to save

I try to open zsnesw.exe with the wine command but it crashes immediately.

Your Wine version is obsolete. Please retest in the current development
release.

I don't see a crash in wine 1.6 nor 1.7.17.

Thanks! I thought it was up to date because the apt-get install command said
so. Didn't realise I had to add a repository.

And I thought 'blocker' meant it blocks the application from running. Should
have checked instead of assuming - silly me!

It works now :)
