When opening a file in FrameMaker 7.2 which has errors (i.e. missing font,
missing cross references), a message window ("Framemaker console", text window
with its own window manager decoration) is opened and a message box is created.

When this happens the message window is drawn with the least possible size (to
allow only the window manager icons to appear) and when enlarging it, its
content is not drawn (the content pane shows the content of the underlying
window). The message windows content is therefor not readable.

Sometimes (not always) the dialog box and the message window are only shown in
the panel and are not shown at all (which may be a window manager problem,
cannot judge).

Any hint to give more helpful details is welcome.

I will attach console output (which is IMHO not really useful). I tried several
debug channels to get useful output but did not succeed.

Maybe someone can give me a hint to get useful info - I was not able to find
where/how redrawing of windows is performed/controlled.

FrameMaker can be downloaded from www.adobe.com in a demo release (version 7.2.
is rather old).

Still present in Wine 3.21 and also happens in FrameMaker 8 (see download link)

Any glue which debug channel(s) would be helpful is much appreciated.

This bug does no longer happen in wine-8.12. The console window
has other problems but the redraw problem is solved.
