--- Comment #1 from aaron petra2201@gmail.com 2008-08-11 20:34:33 --- This bug is fixed by installing Native Rich Text Editor Support 30 from wine-doors (optionally the installation of the core fonts helps too).

--- Comment #2 from James Hawkins truiken@gmail.com 2008-08-11 20:37:22 --- Using native dlls does not make a bug fixed. Also, the use of wine-doors is not supported by this project.

--- Comment #3 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@earthlink.net 2008-10-26 19:28:05 --- What version of e-Sword are you using? With version 7.9.8 and using Darwine (Wine for the Mac) I have been able to use the search within a Bible feature for some time. James McKenzie

--- Comment #4 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@earthlink.net 2008-10-26 19:30:08 --- Disregard comment. I will attempt to install Sword here and attempt to recreate error. Can you please provide steps used to install this program? Also, there is a native Linux interface to this program, have you attempted to use this feature? Thank you. James McKenzie

--- Comment #5 from aaron petra2201@gmail.com 2008-10-26 22:27:41 --- I found the actual problem was not richedit it was in fact missing fonts. I copied over some of my windows fonts and it started working. As far as install steps I downloaded the installer and just ran it. My wine setup is a windows xp emulated enviroment and I let the window manager decorate the windows. I'm wondering if I should mark the bug is resolved?

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-06-13 22:30:06 --- Still present in 1.2-rc3. Installing both riched20 and corefonts from winetricks works around it.

--- Comment #7 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@earthlink.net 2010-06-14 21:49:48 --- Using code from bug 6254 (EM_FORMATRANGE) might have cured this crash although program output shows: erious error: new percentage complete is less than previous value using vk? yes index: -24055 highIndex: 32300 newperc ==-64%is smaller than perc == 5% This may be code used to fill the progress bar at the bottom of the search screen and appears after the search button is clicked. Crashes may also occur because EM_FINDWORDBREAK is a stub.
