--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-02-08 10:32:27 --- Please attach terminal output. Does this scanner work in native applications, e.g., gimp? Did you compile wine with sane support?

--- Comment #8 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2010-02-08 22:29:31 --- Does xscanimage work when you run it by hand?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21637
--- Comment #9 from promeneur epistemepromeneur@free.fr 2010-02-09 03:03:58 --- yes Xscanimage works well as a standalone app
P.S.
it would be a good thing to give the choice to the user to use Xsane or Xscanimage or perhaps others
Xscanimage is very narrow in its picture formats
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21637
--- Comment #10 from promeneur epistemepromeneur@free.fr 2010-02-09 03:14:16 --- Xscanimage uses pnm,pbm, pgm, ppm formats
this is perhaps the pb ?
in picasa in xscanimage gui you have not the format choice

--- Comment #11 from promeneur epistemepromeneur@free.fr 2010-02-09 10:47:36 --- xscanimage is no more maintained this is the answer from sane site
then
wine must use another app to access to webcam
is there any route map according wine uses another app to access to webcam ?
