Age Of Wonders Shadow Magic:
Installing the game worked perfectly. Launching some game configuration applications worked. Launching the game level editor worked. Launching the game failed with the attached information. I suspect that this could be something related to opengl/3d display. In the log, the name of the missing dll file isn't listed.
My system info is
Ubuntu 9.04, x86_64 intel x3100 graphics display subsystem intel core 2 duo T7300 @ 2GHz, 4MB L2 cache 2 GB RAM

wine ../.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Age\ of\ Wonders\ Shadow\ Magic/AoWSM.exe
This is wrong way to start programs: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#run_from_terminal
Upgrade Wine, latest version is wine-1.1.24.
Make sure you remove ~/.wine directory after installing new Wine version.
Closing invalid. Reopen if the problem persists with proper way of starting program and new Wine.

Installed wine 1.1.24 x86_64. Removed .wine directory Reinstalled the game (installation went perfectly)
Now ran the game using the command $ wine start 'C:\Program Files\Age of Wonders Shadow Magic\AoWSM.exe'
Launching the game failed (producing the exact same error log as the one attached with this bug originally)
Hence reopening.
