Bug ID: 44341 Summary: "Battle.net Helper.exe" component of "Blizzard App" crashes Product: Wine-staging Version: 2.20 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: kolAflash@kolahilft.de CC: erich.e.hoover@wine-staging.com, michael@fds-team.de, sebastian@fds-team.de Distribution: ---
Created attachment 60221 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60221 Backtrace provided by the Wine error message.
Bug appears after logging into the "Blizzard App". ("Blizzard App" is currently only working in Wine-Staging - see https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=28855 for details)
After logging into the "Blizzard App", suddenly a Wine error message pops up, telling me that "Battle.net Helper.exe" has crashed. I'm attaching the backtrace.
Nevertheless I can use the "Blizzard App" to start StarCraft 2 and it runs well.
I guess this isn't #32342, because I got fetchmsttfonts-11.4-23.1.noarch installed via Linux package management and I also did: env WINEPREFIX="${HOME}"/wines/starcraft2_x64/ winetricks_2017-12-22.sh corefonts
OS: openSUSE 42.3 (x86_64)

--- Comment #1 from kolAflash kolAflash@kolahilft.de --- P.S. Sorry for using not the recent Wine version. I could only find Wine-Staging RPMs for Wine-2.20 on openSUSE-42.3 (and the "Blizzard App" currently needs Wine-Staging).
I just recognized whats not working: After "Battle.net Helper.exe" crashes the Blizzard app is showing an error in it's middle area (Blizzard App errorcode: BLZBNTBNA000001F4 (503) Usually the Blizzard App shows recent messages from the Blizzard website in the middle area. But now there's just the error message. So this probably has to do with HTML rendering. In the Blizzard App error message I can click "reload" and after multiple times I could see the web content flash up for a second. Even text gets rendered for a second (so the needed fonts must exist), before the HTML rendering disappears and the Blizzard App error message pops up.
