Good News : WineMine Works on Mac OS X :)

Hey! I have some good news. I am able to play with WineMine on Mac OS X :) See the screenshot here: http://stegefin.free.fr/WineMine.jpg But comctl32 is not working and probably some others dlls, so I still have some work, but this is a good step. Locales with the same language

I have problems displaying Wine's app in my locale (fr_CA). They seem to prefer to go to the English locale, although if launched with LANG=fr_FR wine notepad they will obey the French locale. LANG=fr wine notepad will display a warning about the plurality of locales with "fr", but will display the app in French nonetheless. I have a feeling it might be from dlls/kernels/nls/frc.nls, where both LOCALE_IDEFAULTLANGUAGE and LOCALE_ILANGUAGE are defined as "0c0c", while for fra.nls (fr_FR) LOCALE_IDEFAULTLANGUAGE and LOCALE_ILANGUAGE are defined as "040c". Somebody else noticed this, or have an explanation? Vincent

winegcc and dlls

1.is anyone working on making winegcc do dlls? 2.what is the "hard part" about making winegcc do dlls? and 3.is there something I can do (code-hacking wise) to help with winegcc dll support?

Doesn't help. I tried it. It still does that horrid ncurses stuff, and setting ttydrv to 'none' doesn't help. It looks like wineconsole is only useful for non-filters. It might be fine for, say, a win32 implementation of vi, but not for one of ls. Ideally, one should be able to use Windows commandline tools that don't try to position the cursor as normal Unix commandline tools. The commandline client for Microsoft Source Safe is a perfect example. The unix user doesn't want to know he's using Wine; he wants to be able to say 'ss get foo.c' and grab the latest foo.c from sourcesafe. (This requires having a little shell script or alias to translate ss into wine ss.exe, but that's easy.) I've used Wine for over a year like this, and it really helped integrate Linux into the Windows network where I work. Help with Errors on Darwin

Hey! I am having some success on darwin. I am able to run small winelib exe like expand.exe.so... I am still having trouble with comctl32 which won't loads (this is symbols lookup related). I have also trouble with the x11drv, and I would like someone helps on the errors I get. build wine as shared library

hello, There is a patch from (http://www.openlinksw.com/mono/) to build wine as shared library. I would like to know if wine will be soon merge this patch? Is there an other way to embed ActiveX, or any windows component, like DirectX plug-ins, in Gnome application? Olivier :¬p

Running acrobat reader using wine

Hi All, When i run acrobatreader 5.0.5 using wine like wine acro505enu.exe the following error is thrown ... fixme:win32:PE_CreateModule Security directory ignored fixme:win:SetWindowTextA cannot set text "Unpacking Acrobat Reader..." of other process window 0 err:module:import_dll Module (file) winmm.dll (which is needed by C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msvfw32.dll) not found err:module:load_library can't load msvfw32.dll wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger... good "beginners projects"?

I know a good deal about C and C++ and enough about Win32 API (plus there is always MSDN for win32 api stuff) but not that much about linux programming or about the WINE sources themselves. Is there something I can "hack on"?
