winedbg and ddd/kdbg problem...

Hi, I'm coming from Windows, so a graphical debugging system is needed :-) I'm trying to connect winedbg to ddd as described in the docu, but the following error occured during startup: wine-pthread: gdbproxy.c:1984: extract_packets: Assertion 'i == gdbctx->out_len' failed. Same happens when I try to connect to kdbg... Any ideas? Thanks Markus Goemmel m.goemmel(a)compulab.de

What to do when X11DRV_DIB_BuildColorMap is called with more than 256 colors?

I have an old copy of Microsoft's Trip Planner 5 software that I was trying to get to run. When I try to plan a trip, the program will draw the map fine, then it attempts to draw the dialog for setting up the trip data. At this point, the app calls X11DRV_DIB_BuildColorMap with a bmiHeader.biClrUsed count of 257. New call needed in netapi32 (DsRoleGetPrimaryDomainInformation)

Hi, one of the crashes I have in Process Explorer is due to a unimplemented function DsRoleGetPrimaryDomainInformation. There is no Ds-related stuff yet in netapi32. I assume a new file is needed, but how do I name it: - ds.c - ads.c - ? do we have any name-convention for new files ? I guess a new debug-channel is needed as well with the same question about naming. Cheers, Paul.

I have an app that tests the version number of certain dlls it uses on startup. The first seems to be riched20.dll If I run it on 20050524 it starts and works. If I run from the same installation after installing wine-0.9 (or just about any winecfg based version) it starts throwing errors like: riched20.dll version<unspecified> was found, this program requires at least..... killing wine dregs

I often have wine finish uncleanly or need to break in if it is misbehaving , this leaves some processes lying around and often means wine cannot be restarted correctly. I find killing it by hand labourious so I used the following command to clean up and have now defined it as an alias to make life easier. pgrep wine|while read p; do kill -9 $p ; done; It works nicely but just wondered if anyone would say OMG dont do that ! TIA.

Problem with showing arabic script

Hello All, I compiled Wine-0.9 with ICU to support BiDi. And I used LC_CTYPE to choose the appropriate character map. The Arbic letters are shown in the right order (from right to left), but they are shown separated and not connected. Any Idea to fix this problem? Thank you in advance. Yaser..
