msvcrt incompatibility in Origin 6.0 when saving documents

Hello List! I'm testing Origin 6.0 using wine-0.9.1 and everything is really fine except saving documents. I'm getting a crash here. Just before that crash there is a dialog telling me: "File not saved. Please ensure that the disk isn't full" (roughly translated). Using a native version of msvcrt everything works fine. So I suppose that the problem lies in the builtin msvcrt ;-) Running origin60.exe using +relay, I also get the message dialog, but the app doesn't crash. (Timing problem?) Perhaps anybody could tell me where to start looking for the problem. Going trough the +relay-logs I can't find anything suspect. But I'm not very familliar with the win32 api ;-( Thanks a lot for your interest, Ciao, Olaf Leidinger

reports are not well shown

Hi im runing my acces97 application. The problem is when im going to watch a report, letters are not well shown. I have installed all the fonts (arial...) and it keeps on. The text seems to be justified. REG_EXPAND_SZ not parsed correctly

Hi, I have a .reg file exported from Windows that contains the following entry: "HelpLink"=hex(2):68,00,74,00,74,00,70,00,3a,00,2f,00,2f,00,77,00,77,00,77,00,\ 2e,00,6d,00,69,00,63,00,72,00,6f,00,73,00,6f,00,66,00,74,00,2e,00,63,00,6f,\ 00,6d,00,2f,00,73,00,75,00,70,00,70,00,6f,00,72,00,74,00,00,00 When I run "regedit regfile.reg" this value is written into system.reg as follows: "HelpLink"=str(2):"h\0t\0t\0p\0:\0/\0/\0w\0w\0w\0.\0m\0i\0c\0r\0o\0s\0o\0f\0t\0. \0c\0o\0m\0/\0s\0u\0p\0p\0o\0r\0t\0\0" Looking at this key with wine's regedit I just see an "h", ie. the first character, because the next one is treated as end of string. I don't know if this is a bug in regedit or in the way the value gets read/written by advapi. Any suggestions? Cheers, Cihan

Problem with serial port

I'm trying to make work a driver for a financial printer (Olivetti Pr20) on wine. I'm having problems with the serial port, it seems that no data is written to the device. I have tried everything I have thinked, searched on the list, searched on google, but the printer does not work. I think there is a problem somewhere between wine and the serial port driver, since the program try to write data and it seems the data is cleared from the buffer by the function ClearCommError before it is sent to the printer. After that, the program tries to read data but the data (response from the printer) never come. Perhaps I'm missinterpreting the output? I have tried to solder the DSR/DTR pins with the CTS/RTS pins, just in case is a problem of DSR/DTR flow, but it does exactly the same. I attach the output from the program with DEBUGFLAGS=+comm,file, and the output from portmon in a windows machine with the same program. I have cleaned a little the wine log, so only the i/o and comm functions from the port are shown. I don't know where the error can be, can you help me? I wanted to install wine and noticed that it is not packaged for amd64, but I did see the comments on the bottom of this page http://winehq.org/site/download-deb, which explain how to build wine from source. I tried this, but ran into a lot of problems. I got as far as running 'sudo apt-get --build source wine', and it spits out: checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details. make: *** [config.status] Error 77 Build command 'cd wine-0.9.1-winehq && dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc' failed. E: Child process failed I solved this by installing the ia32-libs, ia32-libs-dev and ia32-libs-gtk packages. I downloaded the libXext package and manually extracted libXext.so.6.4.1 to /usr/lib32, and created a symlink at /usr/lib32/libXext.so. I did the same for libXxf86dga, libXxf86vm, libdrm and libX11. I also encountered another quirk, and needed to install libxt-dev, because the header file /usr/include/X11/Intrinsic.h was missing. The Wine package should probably depend on libxt-dev. Hi All, I'm on OpenSolaris B27, on an AMD 64 system, I'm getting these errors from the build.
