Meanwhile, I solved the missing urlmon problem by downloading it from http://programming.ccp14.ac.uk/ftp-mirror/programming/mingw32/home/janjaap/… but I do not know what I did. Anybody has an idea? Hi, compiling and linking my application against Winelib now works fine. However, loading the application with wine myapp.exe.so fails, with the following errors: err:module:load_library can't load test1.dll err:module:load_library can't load test2.dll Error while processing initial modules Could you give me a hint where to look for the problem? comdlg32 16/32 split and TWEAK_WineLook

Hello all, I am looking at splitting the rest of the Win16/32 code in commdlg32 and am having a few problems. I have come across a lot of code that is marked FIXME: TWEAK_WineLook. I need to split out the 32to16 resource converions and fix this but am unsure what would be the correct route. Can we disable/remove the TWEAK_WineLook for the Win32 code? I dont understand why the implementation of Win32 filedialog functions needs to support the old 3.11 look. If we remove the old 3.1 look from the Win32 stuff then I think I can split the internal FILEDLG_* functions. Cabinet.dll documentation

Hello Are the cabinet stuctures and defines documented anywhere online? I tried to submit the WINE headers to mingw for use in w32api but they couldnt find documents on it anywhere. Hi Alexandre, Dave forwarded your email to me, since I was the one who made that change in the first place... Perhaps the functions may never be used now --- but when I first started working with wine on solaris (Probably the march or apirl release of 2002) I got a bunch of undefined symbols until I removed the ifdef x86 here. I'm afraid that I can't recall whether the undefined symbols were in wine itself, or in our code. I've just undone the changes and wine did compile successfully, but I'm still waiting for our code to finish compiling... It could be tomorrow before it is done... It is quite possible that the problem that was causing the undefined symbols has been fixed in the last 1.5 years - I'll email if I do end up getting any undefined symbols. Until then you can disregard this patch. Warren

GtkPlug and GtkSocket mechanism

I would like to know if it is possible to integrate the GtkSocket mechanism in wine. (To embed activex component in a gtk application.) I do not know exactly how to proceed, I need more informations: - do I must embed GtkSocket code in wine? - do I must synchronize GtkWidget and HWND? For the ActiveX, I use, with a dynamic link, the atl.dll to embed components. It is easy and It works with HTML editor and others stuffs... Using MSVC i can write __try { ... } __except( EXCEPTION_EXECUTE_HANDLER ) { ... } using Winelib i can write __TRY { ... } __EXCEPT( ??? ) { ... } what can i use how EXCEPTION_EXECUTE_HANDLER ? And i can't link this by using -lntdll

Builtin ODBC32 and Microsoft Visual FoxPro

I'm trying and failing to get the builtin ODBC32 to work with Visual FoxPro: after SQLDriverConnect() VFP hangs for a couple minutes, finally crashing with a Fatal Error C0000005. I can tell by the unixODBC trace file that it gets no further than SQLDriverConnect(). Building a wine(lib) based shared library to link with a Linux application

Hi, I'm trying to work out if and how I can port a windows dll to Linux and build a shared library that I can use in an ordinary Linux program. To be more specific: Supose I have sources for a Windows dll (mydll.c and mydll.def): mydll.c #include <windows.h> int ShowBox(void) { MessageBox(NULL, "DLL", "DLL", MB_OK); return 0; } mydll.def LIBRARY "mydll" DESCRIPTION 'Show a MessageBox' EXPORTS ShowBox @1 Is it possible with wine(lib) to buuild a library (preferably shared) that I can link with an ordinary Linux program, so that it becomes possible to call the function ShowBox from the Linux program. Where to put static libs?

Any advice on where to put code that needs to be shared by multiple dlls? I'm tweaking the SMB code right now, and I'd like to reuse it in netapi32 (to implement some of the Net functions) as in kernel32 (for CreateFile and CreateNamedPipe).
