Copy & Paste doesn't work again

This is the most simple winsock client I could write... in fact, its copied directly out of the "Using Winsock Control" in MS sample docs. One button to connect to a server and another to send data to the server. Works fine on a Windows box, but fails under WINE. I say "fails" but it doesn't do anything. My server (on the LAN) doesn't recieve a connect request when you click the connect button on the client... it doesn't see anything from the client. I can click the connect and nothing happens, click send and nothing happens. No errors, but no data transfer either. No firewall is configured. I did copy a mswinsck.ocx to the windows/system directory but its using WINE's winsock.dll. I have installed and run VNC bidirectionally between the same two boxes (Linux and Windows) so I know there is a good IP connection. Any direction is greatly appreciated by one whose struggling to learn Linux and WINE at the same time. Below is a copy of --debugmsg +winsock for what its worth. Office 2000

Hi everybody! I have the followin problem with office2000 installation: I have installed Mandrake 9.1 with the latest wine version(I tried both the source version and the rpm version), and when I install office 2000, the installation starts correctly, I can insert the code and I can choose the components to install. Then, at the moment in which it must copy the files, wine crashes, giving a core file. On the same machime I had the same problem with SuSE 8.2, but not with Knoppix 3.2 installed on Hard Disk. When I try to use crossover office, the installation is perfect. has anyone some ideas for this crash? Thanks a lot Giovanni

I'm getting the same warning as Gerard's however. ========= Well, the Linux ABI tells this : " 4.4. glx.h must include the prototype of the glXGetProcAddressARB extension described above. 4.5. All OpenGL 1.2 and ARB_multitexture, GLU 1.3, and GLX 1.3 entry points and enumerants must be present in the corresponding header files gl.h, glu.h, and glx.h, even if only OpenGL 1.1 is implemented at runtime by the associated runtime libraries. " So if your system was compliant, you should have all the glMulti* prototypes defined in your gl.h file and glXGetProcAddressARB too.... So you should not have any warning. Trying to run builtin commands with WCMD like dir or exit returns 'File not found'. Doing some debug, it seems there is a problem with kernel.CompareStringA. I think this can be avoided. Let use stderr to print this, this way you can use redirections with every program you want. I will add one more remark (!) : I dont know many programs that expect "Wine version" in their output. Hallo, with an CVS update this morning, compiling in dlls/quartz/ gives: gcc -c -I. -I. -I../../include -I../../include -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -D__WINESRC__ -Wall -mpre ferred-stack-boundary=2 -gstabs+ -Wpointer-arith -g -O2 -o filtermapper.o filtermapper.c filtermapper.c: In function `FM2_WriteFilterData': filtermapper.c:365: structure has no member named `u' filtermapper.c:370: structure has no member named `u' ... These problems with nameless structs pop up on and off...
