Need help tracing listview(?) problem

When I go to install StarCraft with wine latest cvs (and for a while), when it brings up the list of directories for you to choose where to install it to, the only thing shown is My Computer. There is no + to expand my computer and there are no drives/directories listed. The only way is to know where you want it installed and type it in at the top. I am going to try to do a regression test tomorrow after I get off work, but before I do, I want to try to trace it with debug messages. Hallo, I am trying to track down some (for me ) strange problems. The installer swcadiii.exe from www.linear-tech.com-> Software->Switchercad aborts, reporting some problem with gunzip. I think this is caused by _fclose reporting the EOF error. You may need in some cases to add a callback for the 32-bit code; for instance in that case you could have some kind of pLoadWin16Driver function pointer in the 32-bit code that is initialized to NULL, and when the 16-bit part is loaded it makes it point to one of its routines. Problem with X11 driver

Hi, I have a problem with the X11 driver (it seems), related to bug 1027. When I run my program (Fitch.exe), wine gets stuck. All threads do a WaitForMultipleObjects, the main thread a WaitMessage. And I get an error err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x40af4b04 "x11drv_main.c: X11DRV_CritSection" wait timed out, retrying (60 sec) tid=080b8780 I read the FAQ about critical section errors, and it helped my to get the following calling stack: KERNEL32.DLL.WaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0x16a X11DRV.DLL.MsgWaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0xf3 USER32.DLL.MsgWaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0x14f USER32.DLL.WaitMessage+0x22 WINAWT.DLL.PrintEmbeddedFrame+0x7ca JAVAI.DLL.mmiFrameMethod+0x3625 JAVAI.DLL.mmiFrameMethod+0xb60 COMDLG32.DLL.PrintDlgExW+0x2a2dc0 JPEG.DLL..reloc+0x12e2cb9b *** Invalid address 0xc308c483 (IBMJITC.DLL..reloc+0x1df5f482) (Indeed, Fitch is written in Java - however, unfortunately it is not possible to run it directly under Linux. OpenGL Detection & Keyb Problems

Greetings, I wrote some mails about 3 months ago concerning getting starsiege tribes to work. Due to your help it's playable under wine when using a native (dx5-dx6) dinput.dll, Although the opengl mode cannot be used in game. My questions are following: How can a game actually detect if OpenGL is availabel? I'm not exactly understanding how tribes fail to see my opengl support when other games and demos work fine. I've read alot of other games suffering from the "touch the keyb and game quits" bug, but so far neither Winex or Wine has found any solution. Does anyone else know anything about this bug? native Dinput.dll does make it playable but it's not a valid solution in the long run. Error message

Every time I try to start wine with (for example) wine sol.exe it gives me an error message: "wineserver: fcntl /tmp/.wine-user/server-xxxx-xxxx/lock: Invalid argument" In debug level 2 it says: sock_init: shutdown() causes POLLHUP Anyone know what this can be? Thanks. Dmitry.

On one of my apps, fpga_editor, this completely breaks the main toolbar. The active buttons no longer work at all. Oddly enough, this app has a popup window with it's own toolbar. The buttons on this window have always appeared to be disabled, even though only some of them should be. But despite their appearance, the buttons work correctly, both before and after this patch.

Changes in Bitmap behaviour

Hallo, Xilinx webpack 4.2 running with native Common Controls shows an artefact in the display of bitmaps associated with the listview widget. This behaviour changed with http://cvs.winehq.com/patch.py?id=5720 by Michael Stefaniuc <mstefani(a)redhat.de>, but still is not right. Appended I have jpegs of the error. The first file (comctl32-builtin.jpeg) shows the behaviour with builtin commctl32, which looks good. The second file (comctl32-native-prepatch.jpeg) shows the behaviour with todays cvs, Michael's patch reversed and native comctl32/commctrl (NT4). We get a discontinous black background of the bitmap The last file (comctl32-native-prepatch.jpeg) is with native comctl32/commctrl (NT4) and todays unmodified cvs version. No we have a all black background. OpenGL textures are wrong under HalfLife

My old motherboard died, and so I upgraded from a single P3 to a dual P3 system. I went to run HalfLife, which had been running beautifully under Wine, and now all the wall textures are screwed up. There is nothing of the proper textures in them - it's not like the colors are screwed up, more like the actual data is screwed up. However, it IS consistent from run to run - the same patterns on the same vertexes each time. The various "humans" in the level are fine - it is just the environment that is screwed. This is running the OpenGL setting in HL - I thought I'd try the DirectX setting, but all I get there is "This is not supported by your card". Now, I have upgraded XFree to the latest CVS pull, I rebuilt my kernel, and upgraded Wine, so it COULD be any of the above. However, I pulled an older version of Wine from another machine with the same results. Native GL programs like Q3A, RTCW, and UT all look fine, so the native GL layer is running well. Could this be an artifact of SMP? Or is there something that Wine does differently in accessing the GL libraries from a native app that would explain this?

help! latest cvs build of wine crashes every time

Hi winers, I've built the latest cvs version of wine on my Debian stable system, and it crashes every time I run it.
