Hmm? It's pretty common for people to have mount points, extra directories or whatever that aren't detected by wineinstall (or they use a binary package that does not autodetect these things).
What makes you sure that they will have set a fake C drive properly or created the sub-directories and all that stuff ?
Well, if they compile from source and read the README they should have done so, and RPMs will set that up for them. It's when they insert a CD or zip disk for instance, and then wonder why they can't run setup.exe from it that causes problems.
