The patch is rather large. Please try to keep a bug/fix per patch (keeping in mind that each patch should be sandalone, that is, after applying it, the tree should build and work just fine).
Also, please remove the "FIXED" comments, they clutter the code. FIXME comments are different, they serve as a reminder of what need to be done, we can't have reminders of all things we did well :)
