You haven't done any mess, the svg icons are a nice improvement. The reason they don't look as good as they should is because Wine doesn't support the alpha channel, we need to fix that.
That's not the only reason: automatically scaling them down to small (e.g. 16x16) sizes results in very pixelated images. At such small sizes hand-drawn images often look best. --Juan
