Attempting to install it anyway generates confirmation from apt: "sudo apt install libjxr0.i686 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package libjxr0.i686"
The dev package and x64 runtime libs are present, so anyone attempting to build wine on ubuntu would need to either build and install a 32-bit copy of the runtime libs, or disable support for this patch set when building wine.

Thanks for the information. The use case here is for Flight Simulator, which is a 64bit process so it won't be impacted. And I don't know any other application that needs it.
