Of course, the two are not mutually exclusive. I wanted it in the News to keep it fresh in the minds of everybody, and hopefully to attract new people to add new test or fix existing ones.
I agree, from the developers point of view, and email to wine-devel is a lot more useful.
We shell have both! :)
