Hello,
In OpenIndiana the configure script picks up msgfmt from /usr/bin, but this then FTBFS. The GNU version is installed to /usr/gnu/bin.
It can be overridden with MSGFMT="/usr/gnu/bin" but I found the attached patch works for me under OI and Linux.
Is this patch correct?
