Here is the fix for this one (to maketests):

BTW, there's no need to make the script bash specific, we can use expr instead:
- i=$(($i+1)) + i=`expr $i + 1`
-- renames removeDir to remove_dir for consistency
That function may be an overkill anyway.
I think we need it. Tests will/may create test dirs, with test files, and so on. We need to be able to wipe the slate clean.
