For the near- and mid-term, we're probably going to continue using the custom compiler.
Out of curiosity - are you planning on trying to upstream some of these modifications into upstream llvm/clang?
We plan to try, yes. It's not clear if they would be accepted, especially if the sole current use-case (Wine) is not going to accept depending on them.
