I can confirm this, same problem here.

As I am not currently a developer, it would be nice if some competent
person could comment on this. Especially I would like to know if this
could be related to our configuration (for me Debian GNU/Linux Sarge,
Vanilla Kernel 2.6.9, Alsa support, libjack0.80.0-dev not installed what
may cause the problem).
