Not that it matters, but it doesn't seem important to me what
features go into a 1.0 release. But something like a stable
branch could be something realy usefull for many users no matter
what new features 1.0 brings.

I'm not sure to what extend this was already answered or decided,
but do we get a stable branch and a no known regressions policy
for release and that branch?
